TTD is organising the 517th Vardhanti of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya at Tirumala, Tirupati and at Tallapaka. As part of the event, metlotsavam will be held at Padala mandapam at Alipiri. On March 21 in Narayanagiri gardens at Tirumala, Saptagiri Gosti Ganam will be conducted with Unjal Seva. Corona Alert : TTD Appeals to Devotees

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has appealed to NRI devotees who are coming from overseas or foreigners, not to visit Tirumala for 28 days from the day they have landed in India. As Tirumala is always abuzz with pilgrim activity, the chances of spreading of Corona Virus is more. Keeping in view the health safety of lakhs of pilgrims visiting Tirumala, TTD has made an appeal to devotees who are coming from other countries to restrain from Visiting Tirumala for 28 days.

2020 : TEPPOTSAVAM IN TIRUMALA FROM MARCH 5-9

The annual five day Teppotsavams in Tirumala will be observed from March 5 to 9 in a grand manner in Swami Pushkarini. Every year during Phalguna Ekadasi, this float festival commences and is celebrated on a grand scale in the Swami Pushkarini for five days in the month of Chaitra (March-April) and concludes on Phalguna Pournami day on March 9. On the first day, Lord Sri Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana Swamy takes celestial ride on the finely decked float in Swamy Pushkarini. On the second day, Lord Sri Krishna flanked by Rukmini Devi are offered puja and taken for pleasure ride on float for three rounds. During the remaining three days beginning with Trayodasi and ending with Pournami, Sri Malayappa Swami along with Sridevi and Bhudevi are taken out for a ride in the temple tank.
