Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple timings - Arasavilli




The famous Sun God Temple is situated in Arasavalli Village which is at a distance of about 1 K.M. east of Srikakulam Town District headquarters of the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. 

It is one of the ancient and all two Sun God temples in our Country. 

According to Padmapuranam, Sage Kasyapa installed the Idol of Surya at Arasavalli for the Welfare of mankind. 

Therefore, the Surya is of Kasyapasa Gotra. He is also termed a planetary King.

According to the ' Sthalapuranam ' of the temple, Lord Devendra found this temple and installed the existing idol of the sun God commonly known as Lord Suryanarayana Swamy Varu under the following circumstances.

Tirumala Brahmotsavam is an annual festival at  Lord Venkateswara Temple celebrated for nine days in September and October. Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month.   Skanda Sasthi is dedicated to Lord Murugan or Subramanya Swamy. It is the sixth day of every lunar fortnight in the Hindu Calendar.
