Ahobilam Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple timings



Ahobilam Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is located in Nallamala forest 70 kms from Nandyal town in Kurnool district in the State of Andhrapradesh.


This is holy abode of Lord Narasimha Swamy.


At the foot of the hills, there is a temple of Prahlada Varada Narasimha Swamy


Chatravata Narasimha  Swamy is installed under a pipal tree which is surrounded by thorny bushes.


Ahobilam is one of the 108 Divya desams.


This is only place having 9(nava) temples for lord Narasimha 9 Avataras.


The Nine Avatars are Bhargava Narasimha Swamy, Yogananda Narasimha Swamy, Chatravata Narasimha Swamy, Ahobila Narasimha Swamy, Varaha Narasimha Swamy, Karanja Narasimha Swamy, Jwala Narasimha Swamy, Pavana Narasimha Swamy and Malola Narasimha Swamy.


The whole complex is in two parts – one called Eguva Ahobilam (upper ahobilam) with six narasimha swamy shrines and other called Diguva Ahobilam (lower ahobilam) with three Shrines.


It is said that the entire Nalamalla hills from Kurnool to Chittoor is a personification of lord Adisesha himself whose tail end is Srisailam, whose middle is Ahobilam and whose head is Tirumala.
