Kotappakonda is situated in Guntur district in the state of Andhrapradesh.


Sri Trikoteswara Swamy is an incarnation of Lord Shiva is the presiding deity.


This temple is situated on the hill and to reach the deity have to take 1000 steps.


A small lake is formed on the main hill and a sculpture of Lord Krishna, Portraying “ Kaleeya Mardhana” dancing on the top of Kaleeya has been placed with special lighting effects in the middle of the lake.


There are 3 hills known as Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara hills, hence the temple got its name Tri Koteswara Swamy.


There are many ponds located on the hill.


Brahma Sikharam is the main temple which is located on the hills. The Kotayya temple is located at Rudra Shikaram. Lord Papanaseshwara temple is located on Vishnu Shikaram.


The temple has a holy pond which is known as “Papanasa Theertha”.


This temple was in existence before 1172 A.D


A big fair is held on the eve of Mahashivaratri every year and more than 7 lakhs people visit this temple during this fair.

Archana (Uphill) - 06.00 am to 01.00 am & 03.00 pm to 08.00 pm
