Sri Navaladi Karuppu Swamy Temple Timings – Mohanur
Sri Navaladi Karuppu Swamy temple is located at Mohanur
in Namakkal district in the state of Tamilnadu.
Karuppanna Swamy is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He
is Swayambhu here.
Goddess Chellandi Amman is consort of Lord Karuppu
Swamy. She is holding weapons as Udukkai, trident and flower and Kumkum appearing
as the destroyer as demon.
There are three Vahanas at the entrance with the Nandi
the Vahana of Lord Shiva, a Lion and Horse.
This temple was built in Dravidian style of
architecture.
As the deity had chosen the place under the Naval tree(neem
tree), he is praised as Navaladi Karuppu Swamy.
This temple was built 1000 years ago.
Devotees throng the temple seeking solutions for debt
burden, family problems, incurable diseases and suitable marriage alliances.
The midnight Puja called Sathya puja Considered very
important.
Here people submit their prayers in writing and tie
them in Pattamaram tree in the temple.
During Panguni month (mar-april) Mariamman festival is
celebrated for 10 days, Kailamman festival in Chithirai (April-may) for 8 days.

Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.
