Katyayani Vrat
- Katyayani Vrat is observed during Dhanurmas.
- Observed by Unmarried girls who wish to get good husband.
- Married women observe for long, Prosperous Married life.
- Mentioned in Bhagavatha Puranam, Skanda Puranam and Devi Mahatyam.
- Goddess Goda Devi was able to Marry Lord Sri Ranganatha swamy by observing this vrat.
- With the advice of lord Krishna gopikas also observed this vrat.
Things to do :
- House must be cleaned.
- Must get early in the morning take head bath.
- The front portion of house must be cleaned by water in which cow dung must be added.
- Apply rangoli in that Portion.
- Katyayani Stotram or Katyayani Vrat Katha Must be Chanted early in the Morning.
- After that Puja must be performed to Goddess Katyayani.
2021 : Dhanurmas Starts on December 16th and ends on January 13th 2022.
