Tirumala: Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti on January 25

 

One of the most important torrent fete, Sri Ramakrishna Thirtha Mukkoti will be observed in Tirumala on January 25.

 

According to Puranas, there are 3 crore 50 lakh torrents in Tirumala.  S Saptatirthas are prominent, including Swami Pushkarini, Kumaradhara, Tumburu, Sri Ramakrishna, Akashaganga, Papavinasana, and Pandava Theerthams, the most famous.

 

It is believed that they will attain salvation if the devotees bathe in these torrents on the specified full moon days.

 

Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti occurs on Pushyami Nakshatrayuta Pournami on January 25.

Devotees trek the hard path in the deep woods and take holy baths on this auspicious day.

 

TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the event.

 

TTD has also appealed that devotees below 10 years and above 50 years, persons with obesity, and those who have undergone surgeries are not allowed to visit Ramakrishna Tirtham.

 

Persons with diabetes, hypertension (BP), thyroid problems, and heart diseases can visit Ramakrishna Theertham by taking proper precautions.

 

A free bus facility from Gogarbham to Papavinasanam is arranged by TTD for the sake of devotees.

 

Devotees can only trek the path between 5am and 12 noon.

Necessary security, Annaprasadam, drinking water, and medical arrangements have also been made by TTD.
