Sankatahara Chaturthi Dates 2020


Sankatahara Chaturthi  is celebrated  every  month on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha.

·        If it falls on Tuesday it is called Angarika Chaturthi and considered auspicious.

·        Observed mostly in south india, particularly in Tamilnadu.

·        Devotees observe fast on this day.

·        After having the darshan of moon at night, they offer prayer to lord ganesh.

Things to do :

 ·        Wake up early in the morning, after having bath offer prayer to lord ganesh.

·        In the evening after the puja is performed have the darshan of moon.

·        On the Completion  Prasadam is distributed.

Sri Azhagiya Singar Perumal Temple Timings – Kanchipuram

  Sri Azhagiya Singar Perumal Temple is located in Kanchipuram in the State of Tamilnadu. The presiding deity is Mukunda Nayakan who is incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is seated in a Yoga Position.   The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13. About the unique idol: Among the Pancha Beras(five types of idols), Ugra Srinivasa Murty is considered the Snapana Beram.  The idol of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy was also known as Venkatatturaivar and stands for the anger aspect of the Lord.
