erected at this temple by Sri Krishna Devarayalu.
According to the temple's history, Druva, the son of King Uttanapada and the great-grandson of Manu was performing penance to find Lord Vishnu.
In just one year, he appeared before Druva and blessed him. Druva is now referred to as Druva Nakshatra, or the pole star, thanks to Lord Vishnu's blessing that he will have a wonderful place in the world.
