Goddess Sita is the consort of Lord Rama
The 5-tier Rajagopuram of the Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Temple faces west. Dwaja Stambham, who possesses a koneru, was positioned inside the Grabha Gudi. Adala Mandapam, a 16-pillared Mandapam with a maximum height of six feet, is present in this temple.
According to legend during Tretayuga, Lord Sri Rama along with Seeta Devi and Lakshmana Swamy in Aranyavasa time. Lord Sri Rama came to this place (Ellanthakunta) and took a rest at this place. During Lord, Rama was in this place listening to the News that his father (Sri Janaka Maharaja) was dead. Of this news, Lord Srirama became very sad and cried in this place. Later he performed Pitrutarpana (Father liberation). With the seeds of the Ellanthakunta tree. So this place is called Ellanthakunta.
