Sri Karthyayani Devi Temple is located in Cherthala in Alappuzha district in the state of Kerala.


Sri Karthyayani ammavaru is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti. It is most historical and power temple in Kerala State.


It is among 108 Devi temples in Kerala.


The idol of Sri Karthyayani devi has only the head visible, we can see the holes from which hairs have been pulled out. So after abhisheka the head part of the idol is mapped using a cloth. Flowers offered to goddess are also covered with a cloth .


There are Separate shrines for Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha and Lord Dharma Sastha in the premises.


Here goddess is famous as Mangalya Dayini she removes obstacles for the marriage of young girls.


At this temple Aarattu is held twice every day during the annual festival.


Karthik star day in the month of Malayalam month of Vrichikam is also well celebrated.

  The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13. Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple is Positioned in the Pathanamitta district of Kerala State. Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple is the most famous and Prominent among all the Sastha Temples. Here Lord is installed by Parasurama and we can see the lord here in sitting form both his legs bent and pressed on the floor and his dhoti tied tightly around his knees.
