Sree Alopi Devi Mandir Timings - Allahabad
Sree Alopi Devi Mandir is located in Alopibagh in Prayagraj in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Goddess Alopi devi is an
incarnation of Goddess Parvathi. There is no deity in the temple there is wodden
carriage or doli is worshipped.
Here Lord Shiva worshipped
as Bhava.
Alop means the one who
disappeared.
Sati Devi’s fingers had fallen
here and the temple is also one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peetas and 51 Shakti
Peethas.
There are three temples
in Prayag Shaktipeeths are considered from three different ideas. The three are
Akshaywat, Mirapur and Alopi.
Prayag is considered as
one of the Sapta mokshapuras. This place is also called as Theerthraj that
means king of all theerthas.
