Sri Gnanamalai Subramanya Swamy Temple is located in Govindacherikuppam village in Sholingur Taluk in Vellore district in the state of Tamilnadu.
Here Lord Subramanya Swamy is known as Gnanapandithan.
Valli and Devasena are the Consorts of lord Subramanya
Swamy. By worshipping Lord Subramanya Swamy here one obtains Gnana.
After Lord Subramanya Swamy wedding with Valli both of
them are believed to spent time here and footprints found here are said to be
made by them.
This temple was built in Pallava style of
architecture.
The hill itself is profuse with veppalai trees which
are known to have medicinal properties.
