Tiruppavai is said in a meaning it is seed of the Veda.

It is revealed only under the guidance of guru who is well versed in Vedic Scriptures.

It is mentioned in the Andal’s  verses in the form of poetry.

It is a writing describing the Vrat under taken to get good Husband.

This was rendered in 30 Pasuras in Tamil.

It is sung devotedly and reverentially in the brahma muhurt in Margashira Masa in Lord Vishnu Temples

This vrat is performed by Goda devi the daughter of Vishnu Chitta.

It is also said that Gopikas performed this vrat for getting Lord Sri Krishna.

The intention of performing this vrat is to reach or Surrender to God.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month. Dhanurmas or Dhanur Masa is also known by the names Chapa Mas, Kodanda Mas, Karmuka Mas, etc. Dhanurmasa is also called Shoonya Masa because it is considered inauspicious to do any good things other than Godly and holy functions. In 2024  Dhanurmasam starts on  December 16 and ends on January 13, 2025. This period ends with the Makar Sankranti - the end of dakshinayana mostly occurs during the Pausha month of the Hindu Lunar calendar. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm. TTD will release the  the Anga Pradakshinam tokens at 10am, SRIVANI tickets at 11am, Physically challenged and senior citizens at 3pm on December 23.   Pushya Masam is the tenth month as per the lunar calendar. In this month farmers get their crop hence it is called Soubhagya Laksmi Masam. The sun would transit in the northern direction and from then onward the Uttarayana Punyakalam starts. Uttarayana starts with the most famous festival Sankranti.
