Kulasekhara Padi – Tirumala
- Kulasekhara was a Kerala king.
- He
is considered the greatest Alwar i.e., a
Vaishnavite saint.
- In praise of Lord Venkateswara, he has composed 11 pasurams (sacred poems composed in Tamil).
- In one of his pasurams, he appeals to Lord Venkateswara to make him a threshold stone so that he can have Lord’s Darshan every day.
- As to fulfill his cherished desire the threshold is christened Kulasekharapadi.
