Sri Madurakali Amman Temple Timings – Siruvachur

Sri Madurakali Amman Temple is located at Siruvachur village in the Perambalur district in the state of Tamilnadu.

Sri Madurakali Amman is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati

The idol is about 4 feet tall and has weapons and Akshaya Patra, a vessel always full of food in her four hands.

She is sitting with one leg bent down and the other on a lion, without the traditional demon under her feet representing her nonfurious form.

This temple is built at the foothills of Madhira malai, hence the name Madurakali Amman.

This temple has a 5 tier Rajagopuram and is built in the Dravidian style of architecture.

A pond outside the temple is named Thirukkula theertham.

This temple was built 1000 years ago.

After Chithirai ammavasai 1st Tuesday the Poochorithal Festival and then after 8th-day Kappu kattuthal Festival and then after 10th-day Big car festival famous Big festival is celebrated.

 

The Special Temple Opening days in Tamil months are Chithirai Tamil New year; Aadi for Aadi 18th day; Purattasi for Navarathri 10 days; Iyppasi for Deepavali; Karthigai for Karthigai Deepam, Margazhi for Margazhi Pirappu, Vaikunda Ekadesi, English New year(January 1st ); Thai Thaippongal, Thaipoosam; Masi Sivarathri.

Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month. Dhanurmas or Dhanur Masa is also known by the names Chapa Mas, Kodanda Mas, Karmuka Mas, etc. Dhanurmasa is also called Shoonya Masa because it is considered inauspicious to do any good things other than Godly and holy functions. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm. TTD will release the  the Anga Pradakshinam tokens at 10am, SRIVANI tickets at 11am, Physically challenged and senior citizens at 3pm on December 23.   Pushya Masam is the tenth month as per the lunar calendar. In this month farmers get their crop hence it is called Soubhagya Laksmi Masam. The sun would transit in the northern direction and from then onward the Uttarayana Punyakalam starts. Uttarayana starts with the most famous festival Sankranti.
