  • Marigold flowers are considered important during festivities
  • Both Yellow and Saffron colored flowers are used for different festival rituals.
  • It is believed that putting up a garland of marigold flowers at the main door of the house helps to remove the negative energy from the house.
  • The color yellow is very dear to Lord Vishnu and offering yellow-colored marigold flowers to Lord Vishnu helps to remove progeny-related problems.
  • Lord Ganesha is also known to love the flower. Offering marigold flowers to Lord Ganesha helps one to receive the blessing of the lord.
  • The color yellow of the marigold flower is extremely auspicious for Hinduism and it is one of the reasons why it is used in most festivals.

Sri Murugan Temple - Thiruparankundram

Sri Murugan Temple is located at Thiruparankundram in Madurai district of Tamilnadu State. It is regarded as one of the Six abodes of Lord Murugan.   Sri Anchumoorthi Temple is located on the banks of Bharathappuzha at Thirumittacode of Palakkad district in Kerala State. It is one of the 108 divyadesam of Lord Vishnu and is also regarded as the 108 Shivalayam of Lord Shiva. Here Lord Vishnu is worshipped as Uyyavandha Perumal and his consort is Vithuvakootuvalli.
