2022: Adhyayanotsavams in Tirumala from December 22
The annual Adhyayanotsavams will be observed in Tirumala temple for 25 days from December 22 to January 15.
This
lengthiest annual festival among the galaxy of religious fests that takes place
in Tirumala shrine usually commences 11 days before Vaikuntha Ekadasi.
The
uniqueness of this festival is that all the 4000 hymns penned by 12 Alwars,
known as Nalayira Divyprabandha Pasurams will be recited every day during these
25 days by Sri Vaishnavaites.
The
first 11 days are known as Pagalpattu, the next 10 days as Rapathu, while on the
22nd day Kanninun Siruttambu, 23rd day Ramanuja Nutrandadi, 24th day Sri Varaha
Swamy Sattumora will be observed and on the final day the festival concludes.
