Thiruchembur Murugan Temple is located at Chembur in Mumbai city of Maharastra
State.
Lord Subramanya Swamy is the presiding deity and here the idol is 4.5 feet in height.
Devasena and Valli are the consorts of Lord Murugan.
The sculptures on the Rajagopuram (the main entry tower) and the Vimanam (the vertical structure above the Sanctum Sanctorum) at the Sri Thiruchembur Murugan Temple were created in the Chola, Pandya, and Pallava styles.
This temple was built in the Pallava style of architecture, and two enormous granite pillars that stand 45 feet tall at the entrance to the temple add to its majesty and splendor.
To get to the temple, one needs to climb 108 steps.
The greatness of this temple was mentioned in Skanda Purana.
The exact date the temple was built was unknown but it was renovated in the year 1945.
