Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple – Pithapuram

 

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is located in Pithapuram in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh State.

According to the temple's history, a businessman named Sri Balanagu Lachanna was deeply unhappy that he had no offspring. In a dream, Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy requested that a temple be constructed on the village's western edge. He gathered a location and put the statues of Lord Venkateswara, known as Sri Bala Venkateswara Swamy, with the help of the villagers. Later on, Sri Balanagu Lachanna's business flourished and he became a father thanks to Lord Venkateswara Swamy's blessings. Afterwards, idols of Govindarajan Swamy and Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru were also placed.

This temple was built during the 19th century

This temple was overtaken by TTD in the year 2000.

The Temple is with Sri Venkateswara Swamy as Mula Murthy. Right Side of the Mulastana there is Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Sannidhi. On the left, there is Jagannatha Swamy, Bala Bhadra, and Subhadra Ammavaru Sannidhi. In the inner prakaram right side there is Padmavathi Ammavaru Sannidhi. On the left side, there is Godadevi Ammavaru Sannidhi is located. The Raja Gopuram, Potu, Yagasala, and Ugranam are being constructed inside the prakaram.

11.00 am to 11.20 am – Suddhi

11.20 am to 11.30 am – Sarva darshan

11.30 am to 5.00 pm – Temple Closing

5.00 pm to 6.00 pm – Sarva Darshan

6.00 pm to 6.30 pm – Suddhi

6.30 pm to 7.40 pm – Sarva Darshan

7.40 pm to 8.00 pm – Ekanta Seva
