Sri Parasurameswara temple timings - Gudimallam




Sri Parasurameswara Swami Temple is located in Gudimallam Village in Chittor District of Andhra Pradesh. This temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva here  called as “Parasurameswara”. The Shiva Linga in the Garbhagruha to be the earliest Linga assigned to the 2nd or 1st century B.C. 

Sri Parasurameswara Swamy is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.Here Swamy is Lingodbhavamurthi.The Shiva linga is 5 feet tall.


Brahma manifests at the bottom, Vishnu at the midpart and Shiva on top.


Goddess Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva.


Parasurameshwara temple was built on the banks of river Suvarnamukhi, this Lingam is believed to depict the trinity.


Temple lies in the structure of Sanctum and the Gopuram, built in the shapes of Shiva Lingam and Gaja Pushti respectively.


The main chamber of the temple gets flooded with the water of Suvarnamukhi river every 60 years, last time this happened on 4th Dec, 2005.
