Sri Dasanjaneya Swamy Temple - Machavaram
The great
Saint Vyasatheerthulu is said to have traveled on foot with his disciples. They
once took a break from their journey to relax for a while at Indrakeeladri.
Lord Hanuman is said to have taken the form of a Varana and appeared before
them. Following him, Vyasatheerthulu and his disciples stood up. They traveled far after Lord Hanuman and arrived in Machavaram. The Saint was instructed by
Lord Hanuman to build a temple, a distinctive Shankh, and a Chakra there. Saint
Vyasatheerthulu started building the temple as directed by Lord Hanuman.
