Sri Soumya Kesava Swamy Temple Timings - Nagamangala
Sri Soumya
Kesava Swamy temple is located at Nagamangala town in Mandya district of
Karnataka State. This temple is famous for Rahu-Khetu Parihara Pooja.
Here the presiding deity is an incarnation of Lord
Vishnu and 6 feet in height. He stands on a Garuda pedestal.
He holds sanku in upper right hand and chakra in upper
left hand, padmam in lower right hand and gadha to his lower left hand.
Normally sanku in left and chakra to right hand but in this temple they are
changed.
Goddess Bhu devi and Sri devi are the consorts of Lord
Vishnu.
This temple has a 7 tier gopuram.
This temple was built in 12th century.
Best time to Visit – September to February
Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.
