Sri Soumya Kesava Swamy Temple Timings - Nagamangala


Sri Soumya Kesava Swamy temple is located at Nagamangala town in Mandya district of Karnataka State. This temple is famous for Rahu-Khetu Parihara Pooja.

Here the presiding deity is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and 6 feet in height. He stands on a Garuda pedestal.


He holds sanku in upper right hand and chakra in upper left hand, padmam in lower right hand and gadha to his lower left hand. Normally sanku in left and chakra to right hand but in this temple they are changed.


Goddess Bhu devi and Sri devi are the consorts of Lord Vishnu.


This temple has a 7 tier gopuram.


This temple was built in 12th century.

Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.

Sri Murugan Temple - Thiruparankundram

Sri Murugan Temple is located at Thiruparankundram in Madurai district of Tamilnadu State. It is regarded as one of the Six abodes of Lord Murugan.   The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13.
