Hanuman Garhi Temple - Ayodhya

Hanuman Garhi is a famous mandir in Ayodhya the birthplace of Lord Rama. This temple is believed to be built in the 10th Century.


According to locals, this is the place where Lord Hanuman lived after Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya from Lanka along with Mata Sita and his brother Lakshman. 

More than 70 steps lead to the main Hanuman temple, the temple is shaped like a four-sided fort with circular bastions at each corner.
