Sri Kanteshwara temple or Nanjudeshwara temple is located at Nanjungad in State of Karnataka.


Nanjundeshwara is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.


This temple was built in 11th Century.


Nanjunda means who consumed poison and legend relates to Churing of the ocean when lord shiva consumed Haalahala. Hence here deity is known for curing diseases.

Sri Murugan Temple is located at Thiruparankundram in Madurai district of Tamilnadu State. It is regarded as one of the Six abodes of Lord Murugan. Vaikuntha Ekadasi is one of the important and auspicious days for Hindus. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It occurs in the Hindu calendar, in the month of Margashirsha (Between December and January).
