Sri Yoga Narasimha Perumal Temple Timings - Otthakadai

Yoga Narasimha Perumal Temple is located at Narasingam in Yanaimalai in Madurai district in the state of Tamilnadu.

The idol of Narasimha Swamy is six feet height, is  seated in a posture performing penance, can be carved in sanctum sanctorum. His front two hands are folded and resting on his knees, while the two hands behind can be seen holding the chakra and Shanku.

Goddess Narasingavalli is the consort of Yoga Narasimhar.

The idol is rare and unique form which is not seen else where. Usually in Narasimha temples the ustava idol would be srinivasa or similar form. This would be the only Narasimha temple where ustaval idol is also Narasimha.

There is a koneru named as Chakra theertham.

This temple was built in 770 C.E
