Sri Dharma Sastha Temple Timings - Sasthamkotta

 


Sri Dharma Sastha temple is located in Sasthamkotta Village in Kollam district in the State of Kerala.


It is one of the five ancient temples of Lord Ayyappa, other temples are Achankoil, Arayankavu, Kulathupuzha and Sabaraimala.


Here Dharma Sastha is accompanied by his consort Prabha and Son Sathyaka.


It is believed that Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana the whole Vaanara sena Pay their reverence to Sri Dharma Sastha on their way back to ayodhya after the victory.


Lord Rama offered Pitru Tharpan on the banks of the river Sasthamcotta lake.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month.
