Sree Durga Parameswari Temple Timings – Karkala (mundkur)

Sree Durga Parameswari Temple is located in Karkala Taluk in the Udupi district in Karnataka.

Sree Durga Parameswari is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi. She is like Mahishamardini holding the demon Manisha upside down and piercing Trishul on his body.

This place is surrounded by the Shambavi River on three sides.

This place is surrounded by the forest and hills and you can see water flowing all 365 days at this place

The Koneru here is called Bhargava theertham.

There are two mandapams in temples i.e., Theertha Mantapam & Mukha Mantapam.

It is the place where goddess Durga killed Mundasura a fierce demon.

It is also believed that saints from Bhargava Gothra were performing penance and meditation at this place.

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm. TTD will release the  the Anga Pradakshinam tokens at 10am, SRIVANI tickets at 11am, Physically challenged and senior citizens at 3pm on December 23.
