Sri Mahadeva Temple Timings – Tambdi Surla
Sri Mahadeva Temple is located in Tambdi Surla at
Mollem in the state of Goa.
Here Lord Shiva is in the form of Linga.
The temple is built in Kadamba Style
The temple consists of garbhagrigha, antarala and a
pillared Nandi mandapa.
The temple faces east so that the first rays of rising
sunshine on the deity.
This temple was built in 12th Century.
It is an ASI protected Monument of National importance
in Goa.
This temple is reminiscent of the temples at Aihole in
Karnataka.
Maha Shivratri is celebrated with pomp and gaiety at
the locals in surrounding villages.
