Sri Ramachandra Perumal Temple Timings – Nedungundran
Sri Ramachandra Perumal
temple is located in Nedungundran town in Tiruvannmalai district in the state
of Tamilnadu.
Lord Sri Rama looks
sitting calm in Sanctum Sanctorum with his right hand on the chest, while
mother sita holds a lotus in right hand and left pointing to the feet of Rama
as if telling the devotees that their destiny is safe at his feet.
Lakshmana is standing by
the right side of Rama
Hanuman is chanting Vedas
sitting before the lord.
This is only temple Sri
Rama can be seen in sitting posture and also he does not have bow and arrow.
This is one the biggest
Sri Rama temple in Tamilnadu.
This temple has two Rajagopurams
one is 105 feet 5 tier Gopuram and the other is 65 feet Kili gopuram. Every
panel of the gopuram had beautiful scenes of Ramayana and Dasvatara on it.
Here Lord Rama met
Sukabrahma Rishi on his way back to ayodhya.
There is a Koneru named
as Shiva Theertham.
This temple was built
1200 years ago.
Brahmotsavams are celebrated
in the month of Panguni (march – April) for 10 days. Pongal, Sri Krishna
Jayanti, Deepavali, Saturdays, are the important days in the temple.
