Arunachala Giri Pradakshina (Circumambulation)

 

  • Arunam means sun and denotes the red Colour of fire and “Asalam” means Giri.
  • Thus Arunchalam means the holy hill which is red in Colour

  • The Circumambulation is about 14 kms.
  • It is auspicious to perform Girivalam or Giri Pradakshina during every full moon.
