Sri Pisharnath Mahadev Mandir Timings – Matheran

 

Sri Pisharnath Mahadev Mandir is located at Matheran a hill station in Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra. It is at an altitude of about 2516 feet above sea level.

It is a dense forested area and the location of the temple is very old.

Pisharnath Mahadev is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The Shivalinga is self manifested and has a unique titled L-Shape.

This temple has a simple house like structure constructed in brown house. It has a two layer roof structure with the upper roof layer proving to be the tower of the temple.

This temple dates back to long time that nobody knows how old it is.

Mahashivratri is celebrated on a grand scale in the temple premises. Devotees also visit this temple during the month of Shravan.
