Sri Manneeswarar Swamy Temple Timings – Annur

 

Sri Manneeswarar Swamy Temple is located at Annur in Coimbatore district in the state of Tamilnadu.


Lord Manneeswarar is an incaranation of Lord Shiva who is swayambhu here. On the either side of the Shivalinga as that of Garuda in a folded form.


Goddess Arunthava Chelvi is consort of Lord Shiva.


This temple was built in Dravidian style of architecture and has 7 tier Rajagopuram.


This temple was built 500 years ago.


Brahmotsavas are celebrated in the month of Margazhi (dec- jan), Chithirai new year day, Vaikasi Puja and Maha Shivaratri are festivals celebrated here.


There are shrines for Bhairava, Guru Bhagawan, Nataraja, Murugan and his consorts valli and Devasena, Anjaneya, Nalvar who sang the thevaram and Tiruvasagam hymns and Tiruneelakanda nayanar.


There are 7 Naga idols under the sacred Vanni tree in the shrine. Worshipping here relieves the devotees from Snake aspects.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti.
