Sri Srinivasa Temple – Tiruchanur

 



Sri Srinivasa Temple is located at Tiruchanur in the Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh.


Here presiding deity is Lord Srinivasa.


It is situated on the banks of river Swarnamukhi


It is about 250 years old.


This temple is considered to be the place of worship for those who could not make it to Tirumala in those days.


The temple tradition states that Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan Swamy, a devoted follower of the Sri Vaishnava faith, built an Ashram next to the temple on the banks of the Swarnamukhi River. For almost fifty years, the Ashram was utilized to present daily kainkaryams to the presiding deity. Sri Koliyalam Swamy, his disciple, carried on the legacy for more than 70 years.

This temple was taken over by TTD in the year 2008.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm. TTD will release the  the Anga Pradakshinam tokens at 10am, SRIVANI tickets at 11am, Physically challenged and senior citizens at 3pm on December 23. The Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan will be released at 10am on December 24, accommodation for Tirumala and Tirupati at 3pm on the same day. Dhanurmas or Dhanur Masa is also known by the names Chapa Mas, Kodanda Mas, Karmuka Mas, etc. Dhanurmasa is also called Shoonya Masa because it is considered inauspicious to do any good things other than Godly and holy functions.
