Sri Mangala Gauri Temple Timings - Gaya
Sri Mangala Gauri Temple
is located in the Gaya district of Bihar State.
This temple is among the
18 Maha Shakti Peeth.
The temple has no Idol of
the goddess Sarva Mangala Devi. It is said that the breast of goddess shakti
fell here.
The shape that is worshiped
is a piece of Rock that resembles a breast signifying nourishment for all
Creations that exist in the whole world.
A flame that burns
eternally in the temple lights up the formation inside of the temple.
The temple is built on
the top of Mangala Gauri hill.

Karma hence called bheem Vedi Gaya
There are 2 minor shrines
dedicated to mahishasura Mardini, Durga, and Dakshina Kali.
There are temple complexes
off Maakali, lord Ganesha Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva.
Bilva tree is present in
the temple one can do pradakshina for it.
This temple was built in
the 15th century.
