Sri Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir – Kolhapur
Sri Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir is situated at perth locality
of Kolhapur of Maharastra State.
The temple has been constructed without the use of
even a single pillar.
It is also believed that the idol was much older than
the time of its actual establishment in the temple.
The idol of Ganesha enshrined in the temple was discovered
while repairing a well.
This temple was built in 18th century.
Devotees visit this temple to seek fulfillment of auspicious
beginnings of works, removal of obstacles, success, wisdom and agricultural
productivity.
Ganesh Chaturthi is the most celebrated here.
