Sri Patteeswarar Swamy Temple – Perur

 

Sri Patteeswarar Swamy Temple is located in Perur in Coimbatore of Tamilnadu state.

Lord Patteeswarar is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Goddess Pachainayaki is the Consort of Lord Shiva, who is swayambhu here.

The temple is located on the bank of the Noyyal river.

This temple was built in the Dravidian style of architecture and has 5 tier Raja gopuram

This temple was built in the 2nd century.

Lord Vinayaka is worshipped as Patti Vinayagar.

Arasambalavanar Shrine is dedicated to Shiva at the spot where Lord Shiva is believed to have performed his Thandav under a Peepul tree.

Every year in the Tamil month of Panguni, Panguni Uthiram is celebrated.

Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.

  The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13.
