Pushpayagam in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Temple on March 18

The annual Pushpayagam in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple will be observed by TTD on March 18 with Ankurarpanam on March 17.

The annual brahmotsavams in this famous shrine were held between February 11 to 18 in a grand manner. As a “Prayaschita” to sins committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious, temple, or, even devotees, Pushpa Yagam is observed as an annual fete.

The processional deities of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara, Sridevi, and Bhudevi will be rendered a floral bath on this auspicious day with several tonnes of varieties of traditional and ornamental flowers between 2pm and 4pm.

Earlier during the day Snapana Tirumanjanam will also be rendered to the processional deities between 10am and 11am.

The temple authorities have canceled Nitya Kalyanotsavam on that day owing to the annual Pushpayagam.
