Shravani Mela Deoghar 2023

 

In the month of Shravan, Babadham becomes more significant. Numerous thousands of worshipers visit the Baba Baidyanath shrine during this time. Most of them travel to Sultanganj, located 105 kilometers from Babadham, initially. The Ganges runs north of Sultanganj. The pilgrims carry the holy Ganges water on their shoulders while carrying water from this location in their Kanwars. They recite Bol Bam as they travel 109 kilometers to the Baba Baidyanath temple in Babadham. When the Kanwarias arrive in Babadham, they first bathe in the Shivaganga to cleanse themselves before going inside the Baba Baidyanath temple, where Ganges water is offered to the Jyotirlingam.
