Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple
is located in Thenneri Agaram Village in Kanchipuram district of Tamilnadu
State.
The main deity of this temple is Srinivasa Perumal
who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Goddess.
Goddesses Sri Devi and Bhoodevi are consorts of
Lord Vishnu.
The temple is facing in the East
direction and has a three-storied Raja Gopuram, two Madapalligal (One for
Srinivasa Perumal and another one for the annual use of Kanchipuram Sri
Varadaraja Perumal) and Mandapangal.
The temple was built 1200
years ago. Varadaraja Perumal of Kancheepuram visits this temple, along with
others in the area, once a year in the processional deity form.
Many people who have had
successful marriages come here to perform Thirukalyanam for the Perumal. It is
thought that by offering Kalyanotsavam to the Perumal, every obstacle caused by
astrological issues, Rasi Doshams, etc., will dissolve.
