Sri Radha Krishna Mandir – Kanpur
Sri Radha Krishna Mandir
is located in the Sarvodaya Nagar area of Kanpur city in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The central shrine is
devoted to Shri Radhakrishna, the primary deity of the temple, and is one of
the five total shrines. Idols of Shri Laxminarayan, Shri Ardhanarishwar, Shri
Narmadeshwar, and Shri Hanuman can be seen in other shrines.
The temple is facing in the East direction and there are five summits in the temple. It has the highest
peak at the center, The temple has been constructed from the correct order of
five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Sky).
The main entrance is the
Earth element, Then comes the water element. After climbing the steps of the
temple, as soon as you reach the gate, you will see a place for yagya, this
element is the fire. After this, you will see a large hall as soon as you enter
the temple, this is an indicator of the air element. After this, you will see the huge
dome when you lift your head up. This is the sky element. All of which were
used in the correct order.
There are many different
types of plants and trees on the temple campus. On the west, north, and south
sides of the temple, there are three ponds inside the campus. The mandapas or
even-level roofs have been given sufficient ventilation for enough light and
air.
In August, the temple
holds the Janmashtami festival to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. On
this auspicious day, devotees frequently prefer to visit the temple, which is
open all day on Janmashtami.
