Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple – Marehalli

 

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Marehalli Village of Tumkur district in Karnataka State.


The temple features a massive mahadvara in the style of the Vijayanagaras. It comprises a garbhagriha preceded by an antarala and navaranga.


At the main temple entrance are a Ganesh temple, Pathalankana temple, and Anjaneyaswamy temple on the left. Encircled by 108 pillars and ankanas, the deities Bhoodevi and Neeladevi are also venerated here. The sanctum sanctorum can be reached by the Navaranga. Regarding the Shukanasini Mantapa Temple. where Goddess Lakshmi is resting on the left lap of the seated lord.


It was believed to have been built in the 12th century AD under the Hoysala dynasty and has since undergone several repairs and restorations.


The temple is also known for its annual festival, held in honor of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. The festival, known as the Brahmotsava, is a grand celebration that attracts thousands of devotees from all over Karnataka and neighboring states.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm.   Pushya Masam is the tenth month as per the lunar calendar. In this month farmers get their crop hence it is called Soubhagya Laksmi Masam.
