• She is believed to have appeared on this day.
• It falls on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri
• It is celebrated mostly in Mathura and Vrindavan
• People Worship goddess Yamuna on this day and ask for happiness and prosperity in their lives.
• Goddess Yamuna is worshipped as the consort of Lord Krishna.
• Devotees wake up early in the morning and take a spiritual bath in the Yamuna river
• Bathing on Yamuna river devotees can purify their soul
• Devotees observe fast on this day
• Special naivedyam is offered to Goddess Yamuna.
• After Puja food is donated to brahmins.
