Sri Kalaram Mandir Timings - Nashik
Sri Kalaram Mandir is located at Panchavati area in
Nashika city in the State of Maharashtra.
Sri Kalaram is an incarnation of Lord Rama. Here deity
is 2 feet in height along with Sita and Lakshman.
Since the image of the Lord is black in color , the
temple came to be known as kalaram Mandir. The koneru is named as Ramkund.
There is also a very old tree that has footprint of
Lord Dattatreya marked on a stone. The main entrance of temple has a Lord
Hanuman deity which is black.
Devotees visit Kapaleshwar Mahadev temple near Kalaram
Temple.
Lord Hanuman’s temple is designed in such a way that,
Lord ram’s idol can be visible from Lord Hanuman’s idol.
Main temple has 14 steps which represents 14 years of
Ram’s exile.
The temple has 84 pillars, which represents cycle of
84 lakh species one has to go in order to get Human birth.
The original temple was built during 7th to
11th centuries. The present temple was rebuilt around 1788.
