Sri Vallisvarar Swamy Temple Timings - Kuranganlimuttam

Sri Vallisvarar Swamy Temple is located at Kuranganlimuttam , in Tiruvannamalai in the state of Tamilnadu.


Lord Vallisvarar is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He himself manifested as Swayambhu.


Sun rays fall on the lord on certain days in the month of Chithirai.


The koneru in this temple called as Kakkaimadu Theertam, Vayasai Theertham.


Devotees pray to lord seeking release from sins, for wisdom and intelligence, and remedy from the effects Saturn Aspects.


Married women and pregnant women offer bangles to mother before they wear them. They believe the payer would reward the child boon and safe delivery of the child.


They also pray to the mother for relief of Balaristha doshas of Childern.

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti.
