Sri Nimishamba Devi temple is located at 2 kms from
Srirangapatna town in Mandya district in the state of Karnataka. This temple is
located on the bank of Cauvery river.
Nimishamba devi is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati
There is a big brass bell hanging from the ceiling which
is rung by the priest after placing the bali bhojanam on the bali peetam for
the crows to eat. Once the bell is rung, the crows come down to the bali peetam in an orderly way
to partake it. It is indeed unique to this temple.
Here the goddess removes the problems and troubles of
devotees within in minute. That is why she is called as Nimishamba.
