Pahari Mandir - Ranchi
Pahari Mandir is located in hilltop in Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand.
The temple is dedicated to Shankara, who is an
incarnation of Lord Shiva.
This temple is located at 2140 feet above sea level and 350 feet above the ground. To reach the temple one has to climb 468 steps.
The hillock also known as Richi Buru is famous for its breathtaking views of the city and some spectacular sunsets and sunrises. At the foot of this hill is the beautiful Ranchi Lake
This temple was built in 15th Century A.D
This is the first temple in the country where the
tricolour is hoisted.
There is a large crowd of Shiva devotees during Sawan
month and Shivaratri.
Shravani Mela, Mahashivaratri, Varshik Mahotsava,
Independence day and Republic day are the major days celebrated here.
