Sri Bhuvaraha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Timings - Halasi

 


Sri Bhuvaraha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Halshi town in Khanapur Taluk, Belagum district in the state of Karnataka.


Here the deity is five feet tall idol is depicted carrying Bhudevi in his mouth.


This temple was one of the examples of Kadamba architecture.


This temple has two Garbhagruhas. The main one has an idol of Maha Vishnu in a Sitting Posture. The other Garbhagruha has a standing idol of Bhu Varaha Swami.


This temple is very similar to Madhukeswar temple.


According to some legends Pandavas built this shrine overnight during their exile and worshiped Lord Vishnu here.


This temple was built in 5th Century.

Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.
