Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple – Mulbagal
Sri Anjaneya Temple in Mulbagal is one of the most popular temples in the country. It is located in the state of Karnataka.
The Anjaneya Temple is about 300 feet long and 200 feet wide. The
eastern structure of Vijayanagar is the temple, which is around 10 feet high
from the sanctum sanctorum. Local lore holds that Arjuna installed this
Anjaneya. Local accounts have also asserted that the Vaikasana Maharishi
created this deity.
There are three temples in the complex: Sri Lakshmi Venkataramanaswamy,
Sri Govindarajaswamy, and Sri Varadarajaswamy.
The Mogul Emperor's Revenue Minister was Raja
Todar Mallanu. He is supposed to have traveled to South India on a pilgrimage
and visited the Anjaneya temple at Mulbagal.
