Sri Kurmagiri Sri Sundara Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple – Palem

 

Sri Kurmagiri Sundara Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located at Palem Village near Suryapet in Nalgonda district of Telangana State.


Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is the presiding deity of this temple


This has a 5 Tier Raja Gopuram and a Dhwajastambam is placed in front of the temple. Which is unique in the temple is Lord Garuda sitting on the Dhwaja Stamba which can not be seen elsewhere.


A devotee named Gundamraju Venkata Krishna received Swapna sakshathkaram from the Lord, who also gave him information about his location and gave him permission to build a temple with the support of the Nijam Nawabs. This temple was built by Gundamraju Venkata Krishna.


This temple was 1000 years old.


On every Friday and on the day of Ekadasi special abhishekam is performed.


Every day Suprabatha seva and Archana are performed to Swamy and Ammavaru.


Every month on Pournami day Kalyanam is performed at 11.00 am


On every Swathi Nakshatra day, Sudarshana Narasimha Homam is performed


Annual Brahmotsavam is celebrated in March for 7 days


Dhanuramasam for one month followed by Goda Devi Kalyanam on Bhogi Festival.


Kartika Deepam during Karthika Masam, Laksha Kumkumarchana during Sravana Month and Narasimha Jayanti are also celebrated.


Mahalakshmi Yagam is observed three times a year during March, August, and October
